I finally caught up on my feeds last night and came across a few really good articles… Freemium business model case study: AdultFriendFinder ARPU, churn and conversion rates (Andrew Chen) Fantastic post taking a look at AFF’s business metrics and deriving their values using data from the recent IPO filing.  Andrew’s blog is a must read for any web marketing nerd (like myself). ...

A fav restaurant + a fav show
The chef at one of my favorite Seattle restaurants (Sabrina Tinsley @ Osteria La Spiga - love their gnocci) is on one of my favorite shows, Iron Check America, tonight (9pm PST on the Food Network). She’s up against against Bobby Flay - who I thought would be one of the tougher matchups but apparently has the second worst record among the Iron Chefs. Source: Seattlest

WTF?
Here are the stats of 4 four NFL QBs… QB1 - 4009 Yards, 34 TDs, 105.5 QB Rating QB2 - 4526 Yards, 25 TDs, 86.0 QB Rating QB3 - 4002 Yards, 27 TDs, 95.0 QB Rating QB4 - 3472 Yards, 22 TDs, 81.0 QB Rating Can you guess which 3 QB’s made the Pro Bowl?  What about which one won the NFL MVP? Newsweek - How He Did It →
Great read.  Part one (of six) of Newsweek’s exclusive look at the 2008 election.  They were given an impressive level of behind-the-scenes access to the candidates and their campaigns, and it shows.  Some of my favs… Obama, to his staff after having to answer questions about comments one of his staffers made re: Hillary… “I don’t want you guys freelancing and,...

Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging
Another neat idea from Amazon (via Signal vs. Noice blog)… http://www.37signals.com/svn/posts/1365-amazon-launched-frustration-free-packaging It solves two problems - gets rid of that annoying clam shell packaging (I always end up inflicting more damage on my hands than I do on the package) and it cuts down on waste. Check out thier gallery of wrap-rage… ...
